Overview
Bonita Beach Dog Park—often called “Dog Beach”—is one of the few beaches in Florida where dogs are allowed to run off leash along the shoreline. Located near the southern end of Fort Myers Beach and just north of Lovers Key State Park, it offers a unique place where pets and owners can enjoy the Gulf together.
Because the beach sits along a tidal flat, its size changes with the tide. At low tide, much more sand is exposed, creating a large open area where dogs can run and play in shallow water.
