This sheltered bay inside the Mauna Lani resort feels private but, like all Hawaiʻi beaches, is open to the public; however, parking at the Beach Club lot is typically limited to guests with access cards, and general public visitors may need to use shoreline parking elsewhere and walk in. The bay is calm and shallow, with very good snorkeling along the lava margins and easy SUP on most mornings. Napua Restaurant sits beachfront for lunch or dinner. If you’re not staying on property, check access logistics before you go; after 5 pm, policies sometimes allow diners to park at the club lot (subject to change).
Best Time to Visit: Mornings for clear water; dinner time for sunset + Napua (verify parking policy).
Quick Highlights: Calm bay • Great snorkeling • On-site restaurant (Napua) • Limited parking for non-guests.
