About This Beach
Often referred to as Waikoloa Beach, Anaehoʻomalu Bay curves around golden sand backed by palm groves and historic fishponds. A-Bay is one of the Big Island’s most amenity-rich beaches—bathrooms, showers, free parking, beach rentals, and a beachfront restaurant—and is beloved for long sunset walks and beginner-friendly paddling. While there’s no lifeguard, the bay is typically gentle, with snorkeling best near the northern rocks. Inland, petroglyph fields and the Waikoloa resort trail system add cultural interest between swims.
